Mary Ploegsma began painting in oils in 1985. She studied with the late Dick Turner, completing her first commission in 1996 and has not looked back since.
Mary studied with numerous renowned artists including Scott Burdick, Carolyn Anderson and Hongnian Zhang. Her portraits are in private collections in The Netherlands, The U.K., Belgium and Canada as well as Texas, Utah, Oklahoma and New York.
Born in England, Mary has been a resident of Texas for thirty eight years. She is married with two sons.
Mary divides her time between studios in The Woodlands, Texas and Victoria, Vancouver Island.
